Spotter AI expands its engineering team after surpassing 700 employees, highlighting developer success stories and new full-stack opportunities.

(DARIEN, IL) — NOVEMBER 05, 2026 — Spotter AI, a transportation technology company developing software for trucking and logistics operations, is expanding its engineering team as the company surpasses 700 employees. The expansion reflects continued investment in technology designed to help motor carriers manage transportation operations, safety, compliance and freight intelligence through connected software solutions.

Spotter AI is currently recruiting full-stack developers with experience in front-end and back-end development, including React and Django, as the company continues expanding products focused on transportation management, driver safety and compliance, freight intelligence and operational automation.

As part of its recruitment process, Spotter AI evaluates candidates through practical development assessments inspired by real transportation challenges. One current assignment involves building a weather-aware trip planning application that evaluates truck routes based on weather conditions, travel time and operational risks, reflecting the problem-solving skills used across the company's engineering projects.

Behind Spotter AI's expanding technology portfolio is a team of developers whose responsibilities have grown alongside the company. From building early transportation applications to developing new integrations and optimizing cloud infrastructure, their work reflects both the company's evolution and the opportunities available to engineers joining the team.

Ahmed Abdulnaby - Tech Lead at Spotter AI:

Ahmed Abdulnaby, who is approaching two years with Spotter AI and now serves as a Tech Lead, said one of the biggest draws was the opportunity to build meaningful technology, solve real-world problems and have a direct impact on the product.

He has helped lead work on projects including the Sentinel Analytics Portal, Sentinel API Portal and Spotter’s direct integration with CDLIS and state systems, and says the company’s engineering culture gives developers real ownership over what they build. “Our developers aren't just handed tickets and expected to write code,” Abdulnaby said. “They're encouraged to challenge requirements, suggest better approaches, contribute to product decisions, and take ownership of their work.” For prospective developers, he added, “If you're someone who enjoys solving challenging problems, taking ownership, and constantly learning, Spotter AI is a great place to be.”

Krishna Sunuwar — Full-Stack Developer

Krishna joined Spotter AI in October 2020 as one of the company's earliest engineers and has spent the past six years helping build and scale its technology.

From the original Spotter dispatch app to Truckbase and Spotter TMS, he has watched the company grow from operating a single application to more than 30 applications on Google Cloud. Today, his responsibilities extend beyond full-stack development into cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security and system architecture. His work optimizing the company's cloud infrastructure has also helped save more than $300,000 since April 2024. For Krishna, one of the most rewarding aspects of the job is seeing how technology directly improves daily trucking operations. “We operate inside an immediate feedback loop because Spotter runs its own fleet. We see the real-world results of our code within days, not quarters,” he said. His advice to developers considering Spotter AI is to embrace the variety of challenges and understand the people using the technology: “Learn the business: talk to the dispatchers and accountants who use what you build. And keep learning, because the tools change fast.”

Developers interested in joining the team can learn more about current openings and the Full Stack Developer assessment through Spotter AI’s recruiting channels.
