(PITTSBURGH, PA) JUNE 3, 2026 - Pittsburgh hard rock group GUIDES has officially released the new music video for their latest single “DRAIN,” now available on YouTube. The video arrives as the band continues building momentum around a new era of music produced in collaboration with Zac “ZROKK” Diebels of Simon Says.

Originally released in early May, “DRAIN” marked the beginning of a bold new chapter for GUIDES, blending the textured aggression of nu metal with the emotional urgency and atmosphere of post-hardcore. The track captures themes of struggle, resilience, and personal transformation, balancing heavy groove-driven riffs with layered melodies and raw emotion. The new music video expands upon those themes through a visual presentation that mirrors the song’s intensity and emotional weight.

The release continues a productive period for the band, which has been steadily refining its sound while growing its reputation throughout the regional heavy music scene. Working closely with Diebels has allowed GUIDES to sharpen its songwriting and sonic identity while channeling influences rooted in the late 1990s and early 2000s alternative metal and post-hardcore movements.

Fans will have upcoming opportunities to catch GUIDES live this summer, including a show on July 18 at Mr. Roboto Project in Pittsburgh alongside Truss.

The momentum continues on June 17 with the release of GUIDES’ newest single, “FAILURE / DEFINES.” Following the success of “DRAIN,” the upcoming track pushes even deeper into the emotionally charged territory that has quickly become a defining characteristic of the band’s evolving sound. Built around themes of identity, self-worth, personal setbacks, and rebuilding, “FAILURE / DEFINES” combines crushing instrumentation with vulnerability and catharsis.

Built on visceral live performances and a growing reputation throughout the heavy music community, GUIDES has shared stages with artists including Sevendust, Taproot, Cold, Orgy, Attack Attack!, Simon Says, Powerman 5000, and 12 Stones. Their 2023 debut EP, When Everything Reverses, introduced a sound rooted in heavy instrumentation, atmosphere, and emotional depth, while their latest material showcases a band growing more confident and deliberate with every release.

Drawing influence from bands such as Deftones, Taproot, Staind, Finch, Thursday, and AFI, GUIDES continues refining a sound that merges heaviness with emotional resonance and dynamic songwriting. With Jonathan Joseph on vocals, Tim Evans on drums, and Zach Hess on guitar and bass, the band enters the second half of 2026 with a sharper vision and renewed purpose.
