(LOS ANGELES, CA) - JULY 2018 - Southern California based Latin pop singer, songwriter and producer Alessa Ray has released a music video for her latest single “Mamacita”. Alessa Ray is currently in the studio working on her debut EP to be released later this Summer.
The music of Alessa Ray is heating up the Summer airwaves, giving listeners a heavy dose of Latin influenced pop with her newest and buzzworthy single, “Mamacita”. Last week Alessa released an official music video for the track, which was directed by highly respected video producer ZANE (The Goodnight Darlings, 10K, Tori V). The clip injects the salsa & Latin rock fueled roots of her single into an energetic backdrop packed full of dancing, emotion, sensuality and beautiful cinematography. Alessa Ray has been busy in the studio this Summer working on additional singles that will be included on her debut EP, tentatively set for a September 2018 release. Originally from Paraguay, she relocated to the Los Angeles area to study music at Musician’s Institute and fully immersed herself into the Southern California music scene. While not in the studio or playing her own music live, Alessa is constantly seeking new inspiration to use within her music and lyrics. She purposefully and creatively blends her English and Spanish influences, as Alessa grew up idolizing some of the most successful Spanglish artists of our time.

About Alessa Ray:
Alessa Ray is a pop singer, songwriter and producer from Los Angeles. As a contestant in the "Music Record Contest" in her home country of Paraguay, she realized that writing her own songs would be the best way to express herself as a musician. In 2017 the multilingual artist self-released her debut EP online and began performing in regional clubs. After relocating to Los Angeles and attending Musicians Institute she continued to perform at Hollywood venues as a background singer, as well as performing her own music with notable session players.
Alessa is currently is in the studio putting the final touches on her second EP, which is inspired by life experiences, literature and her adventures meeting unique people from around the world. Musically, she draws inspiration from a wide spectrum of popular musical styles, ranging from salsa to EDM, and will incorporate “Spanglish” into her upcoming singles. Alessa’s music has been featured by Music Connection magazine, Muzik Beat, Tuned Loud, Hunnypot Unlimited and The JW Vibe.
