Betty Moon Mentors With GRAMMY Recording Academy During Coachella Weekend

Bob Bradley

The LA based songwriter and producer kicks off her trek to Coachella with an exciting stop in Palm Springs to join the Recording Academy in mentoring emerging songwriters on crafting music like the pros.

(LOS ANGELES, CA) - 4.18.19 - Betty Moon was invited by the GRAMMY led Recording Academy to be part of a very special mentorship event in Palm Springs during Coachella. The Academy kicked off a discussion in front of a group of young songwriters and producers, giving guidance and advice to each participant on how to craft the best possible songs in 2019. In addition to Betty Moon, other industry players included Rodney Jerkins (aka Darkchild), Busbee, MarcLo of Monsters & Strangerz, Sarah Hudson, Shane Stevens and more.

Once the group discussion was complete, Moon joined the other songwriters in breakout sessions to give individual attention to each participant by listening to their demos and answering questions about their goals as a musician. The Recording Academy described the event as going “deep into the art of crafting the perfect track” and identifying “the things they've learned along the way in their quest to navigate and excel in the music industry”. Most songwriters yearn for guidance from those with more experience, and sessions such as these are the perfect platform to gain inspiration in addition to watching dozens of music icons take the stage during the massive Coachella weekend.

“It was an honor to be invited by the Recording Academy and be amongst some of the industries finest talents” said Betty Moon. “What was even cooler though, was to help out some of these songwriters and I hope they walked away with just a bit more insight than before”. Moon currently is promoting her latest single “Save My Soul” and her new LP ‘Hellucination’ is slated for a Spring 2019 release.
