Latin-Pop Artist Alessa Ray Releases New Single “Game Over”
(LOS ANGELES, CA) - September 21, 2018 - Paraguay born, Los Angeles area artist Alessa Ray has released her infectious new single “Game Over” this AM. The electro/tango fueled track is just the latest of new music the Southern California based songwriter has been prepping for a late 18’ release.
On the heels of her critically praised track “Mamacita”, Los Angeles area songwriter Alessa Ray has released her follow-up single “Game Over” this morning (9/21) on digital retailers including Spotify and Apple Music. Quite simply, “Game Over” is her story of breakup, and pulls together some of Ray’s favorite latin influences including Argentina’s iconic style of Tango, electro and pop. The song was recently featured in one of Paraguay’s largest fashion shows with area top models walking the runway to the track. “Game Over” was co-produced by Alessa Ray and AUDIOIKO (Mariliana Bogado, La Kchorra, Ricky Peralta, Ralph Edison) and a music video will once again by produced by ZANE later in September.
As a passionately driven Latina artist, Alessa Ray only recently made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles from Paraguay, and has brought her unique flavor of South American salsa, pop, tango, latin rock and fusion influences to the states. As a daughter of a notable fashion designer, Ray places priority in pairing a visual element to her music that involves style, culture and dance traditions from various regions of South America. In a short time since her move, her music has already been praised by the media in sources including Music Connection, Hunnypot Radio, La Mezcla, Celebmix, Sidewalks TV, Popdust and more.
Alessa Ray will also be performing live on September 26th at Bar 20 in Los Angeles. The show kicks off at 6pm and Alessa will be performing an acoustic set of originals and some memorable cover songs at 6:30pm. In between shows and single releases, Ray will continue to be in the studio putting the final touches on her new EP which is tentatively set for a late 2018 release. Expect the EP to be an even larger dose of her Latin Pop music that on some tracks will even blend English and Spanish (Spanglish) and will undoubtedly get the dance floor moving.
"Ray's lush tones sparkle with posh, polished timbres, saturating the lyrics with oozing come-hither sultriness bordering on hedonistic self-indulgence. It's a voice exuding verve and vivacity, cool and steeped in steamy hues." - Popdust
