Two Decades Of Persian Cuisine And A Castle: Atlanta-Based Divan Moves To A Historic New Location And Expands Their Upscale Mediterranean & Persian Cuisine

APRIL 1, 2024 (ATLANTA, GA)—Divan, an Atlanta favorite for Persian cuisine, celebrates nearly 20 years of business and its recent relocation to a new building (actually a well-recognized Midtown Castle). As a top Atlanta restaurant for locals and those making the journey for an incredible dinner, Divan has been serving authentic Persian dishes that are delicious, unique and raved about by even the most discerning palettes.

Divan Restaurant & Bar is proud of their commitment to delivering an unparalleled culinary experience rooted in the rich traditions of Persian and Mediterranean cuisine. With a dedication to sourcing premium ingredients and a menu crafted to showcase the diverse flavors of Persian dishes, Divan invites diners to visit their new location in Midtown Atlanta. While the Divan experience remains incredible since departing their original Buckhead 3,000 sq/ft location, Divan has since taken up residence in a beautifully 13,000 sq/ft, 100-year-old, 5-story castle in Midtown.

At Divan, every dish is prepared with meticulous care and attention to detail, ensuring that each bite delivers the authentic taste of Persia. From traditional kebabs to exotic stews, the Divan menu reflects the depth and complexity of Persian culinary heritage. Menu favorites include Turkey & Pistachio Kufta Meatballs, Duck Leg Confit, Blackened Verlasso Salmon, Bakhtiyari Kabob, and Divan's Spice Blend Shish Kabob. Divan hosts lunch, dinner, and an exciting Sunday brunch that usually fills the entire restaurant from 11 am to 2 pm (reservations are encouraged!).

Divan promises to provide guests with a memorable dining experience tantalizing the senses, whether it's a casual dinner with friends or a special celebration. With its inviting ambiance featuring dim lighting, plush settings, captivating design, and enchanting music, Divan offers the perfect backdrop for any occasion. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, holiday party, corporate function, or simply gathering with friends, let Divan elevate your next event and make it truly unforgettable.

Divan was founded in 2005 by Max Lotfi and his wife, Arezoo Armaghan. They have since opened a sister restaurant called Persian Basket in John’s Creek, operating a specialty market and online store for Persian imported food from Iran.

“....Midtown’s Divan errs on the side of elegance with four levels of granite-walled lairs, glass-bottom floors, and towering windows. The clientele, a well-dressed mix trying to impress corporate clients, dates, or parents, keeps the mood elevated. So, too, does a well-crafted array of Persian-inspired dishes. The pomegranate-drizzled turkey and pistachio kufta is something out of a meatball-themed dream. The basil-sprigged scallops and the slow-roasted lamb shanks are flavorful triumphs of the highest order. Take your meal or wild fruit hookah on the outdoor patio, where you can feel like a royal overseeing a kingdom of joggers and double-parked cars.” - Demarco Williams / The Infatuation
